How to Book an AppointmentHZZO

You can book a medical examination or phone consultation in two ways:

  1. online through our appointment booking system

  2. by calling 051/600-601 and selecting option 2 on the automated phone system (Book an appointment)
Important Note

The fastest way to book an appointment is through the online system.

The online system is available 24/7 and gives you complete freedom in choosing your appointment time.

To book by phone, you must call during office hours and wait for the nurse to answer, who is usually busy attending to patients at the office. During the call, the nurse will use the same online booking system.

Appointment Booking Rules

Examination and phone consultation times are limited

To ensure the doctor can see as many patients as possible each working day, medical examinations are limited to 15 minutes and phone consultations to 10 minutes.
We believe that in most cases this will be sufficient time to address one medical issue or, at the very least, to create a concrete plan for further steps.

Come prepared and on time

Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time to avoid crowding in the waiting room and to ensure a good experience for all patients. Before coming to your appointment, consider whether you need to bring any medications, test results, or similar documents, and think about how to present your concerns so you can make the most of your time with the doctor.

Reschedule or cancel your appointment in advance

If you know you will not be able to attend your scheduled appointment, please reschedule or cancel it as soon as possible so that someone else can use the time slot.
If you booked online, you can cancel via the link in your booking confirmation email. If you did not book online or are experiencing technical issues, please contact us by email.

The doctor will call you at your scheduled phone consultation time

The doctor will attempt to call you at the agreed time on the phone number you provided during booking. It is possible that the call may come slightly before or after the scheduled time due to increased workload or unforeseen events during office hours.

Select "Medical Examination" or "Phone Consultation" and click "Continue"

Choose a time slot that suits you and click "Continue"

In this step, a calendar for the current month is displayed. You can change the month and book an appointment up to 50 days in advance. By clicking on a specific working day, you will see all available time slots. Click on the one that suits you, then click "Continue"

Enter your details and click "Confirm"

The fields "Name", "Surname" and "Email" are required. However, we recommend that you also enter your phone number in the "Phone" field, as well as a brief reason for your visit so our staff can better prepare.

After successful appointment booking, a booking confirmation will be displayed on the screen. You will also receive a booking confirmation to your email address.

The email contains your unique link which you can use to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

If you did not receive the confirmation email, please check your spam folder. If you find the message there, move it to your inbox. This will "teach" your email program not to mark Fiumed messages as spam.

Additional features of the online booking system

Adding the appointment to your calendar

At the end of the booking process, on the confirmation screen, you will be offered the option to save the appointment to your computer or mobile device calendar. Select the type of calendar you use (e.g. Google or Outlook), click "Add to your calendar" and follow the instructions.

Rescheduling or cancelling a booking

You can reschedule or cancel your booked appointment at any time up to 2 hours before the appointment start time.

  1. In the booking confirmation email, you will find a link to the "Patient Portal". This link is unique to you, i.e. to the email address used to make the booking.
  2. Click the link in the email to access the patient portal where you will see all your upcoming appointments.
  3. Next to the appointment you wish to modify, click the pencil icon, select "Reschedule" or "Cancel", and follow the instructions.

Troubleshooting

The booking system does not appear on the page

Please try accessing the online system using a different web browser, e.g. Chrome or Brave. Or try accessing the system from a different computer or mobile device.

When submitting the booking form, the system asks me to solve an image challenge

To prevent appointments from being booked by "bots" -- typically malicious programs that automatically fill out online forms across the internet -- we use a verification system by Google called Recaptcha.

Recaptcha works in the background of our online booking system and automatically verifies, in most cases without requiring any action from the user, that the form is being accessed by a person rather than a bot. If Recaptcha cannot determine that you are not a bot, it will ask you for confirmation by presenting a test to verify you are a human user. Recaptcha will display a number of different images and ask you to select those containing a specific object, e.g. a fire hydrant, boat, bridge, or similar. Once you have selected all images containing the specified object, submit the test and you will be able to continue with the booking.
