Explanations

Blood and Other Laboratory Samples

Sample collection (blood, urine, swabs) is conducted in the office three times a week, exclusively in the morning.
Appointments are only possible with prior arrangement with the doctor after an examination or consultation.
Samples are sent to a laboratory authorized by the Croatian Health Insurance Fund.

Sample collection is also possible with a doctor's referral on any working day at the Rijeka Clinical Hospital Center.

Administration

Time reserved for office staff to perform administrative tasks required by the Croatian Health Insurance Fund.

Examinations - Acute Hour

This time slot is intended for patients with new symptoms (e.g., cold, infection, injury) who don't have a scheduled appointment and cannot wait. The examination focuses only on the new symptom, not on chronic or longer-term issues.

If you meet the above criteria, you can come for an examination during the acute hour without prior notification or reservation. In case of a large number of patients, we may not be able to examine everyone, but in that case, you can wait or arrange for an examination on another day.

Examinations - Chronic Conditions

This group of examinations takes up the majority of the working day in the office. It refers to all examinations and consultations not included in acute conditions or emergencies. For this type of examination, you need to make a prior appointment reservation.

Phone Consultations

Most phone consultations are initiated by your doctor according to the daily work plan and patient needs, e.g., reporting test results or checking the response to prescribed therapy.
Patients have the option to schedule a phone consultation with the doctor.
If you have scheduled a phone consultation, the doctor will try to call you at the time you selected. It is possible that due to the volume and organization of work, she may call you slightly before or after the scheduled time.
A phone consultation is expected to last up to 10 minutes. Prepare for the conversation with the doctor to make the best use of the consultation time.

Home Visits

These are conducted based on indication and prior arrangement with the doctor, and there is no reservation for them.

Emergency Situations

Medical emergencies always have priority in our office. If you come to the office with a suspected serious emergency condition such as chest pain with suspected heart attack or similar symptoms, you will be examined immediately! If you are in the waiting room when we admit an emergency patient, you will have to wait regardless of your scheduled appointment, and we ask for your understanding in such cases.
