Select option 1 - "Prescription ordering"
After the beep, clearly state:
- Your full name
- Date of birth
- Medications you want to order and their dosage
- At the end of the message, be sure to press the hash key #
After that, you can send the recorded message (0), re-record the message (1), listen to the message (2), or cancel the order (press # again)
Your medications will be available at the pharmacy 24 hours after your call
Depending on when you left the message and our workload, we may process your medications earlier.
Prescription Ordering Rules
You can only order medications for chronic therapy
This applies only to medications that have been previously prescribed to you, i.e., those you use daily to treat chronic conditions.
If you believe you need a new medication for an existing or new condition, a prior examination or consultation with your doctor is necessary to determine the medical justification and safety of the medication.
You can order multiple medications for yourself and/or for multiple family members in the same call
Clearly specify for whom you are ordering which medication.
Leave messages exclusively related to the medications you are ordering
Messages of other types will not be processed.
If you are hospitalized, we cannot prescribe your therapy
HZZO does not allow issuing prescriptions during hospitalization. You will receive your therapy at the hospital.
Important: sometimes hospitals are delayed with discharge updates in the HZZO computer system. The patient is already at home, but the system shows them as still hospitalized. In such cases, the system does not allow us to issue prescriptions, which we will notify you about by calling the phone number from which you ordered the medications.
Potential Issues
In case of problems with your order, we will call you back at the number from which you left the message. You do not need to record your phone number in the voice message, as it is automatically logged by your call.
If there are no problems with your order, our staff will automatically prescribe the medications and send them to the computer system so they can be dispensed at any pharmacy.
Your medications will be waiting for you at the pharmacy 24 hours from the time you left the voice message. Depending on the workload, we check messages several times a day. Please order your medications in advance as we cannot process every order immediately!
If pharmacy staff cannot see the prescriptions in the system or you cannot pick them up for any other reason, please call us immediately during office hours at 051/600-601 and select option 2 - "Speak with a nurse" or, even better, send an email to ordinacija_potok@fiumed.hr.
